This lovely 1965 Wolseley 16/60 is perfect luxurious transportation for your wedding in Kent. With luxurious leather seats, wood trim and sink your toes in carpet – arrive for your wedding in style!
The Wolseley is a true British Motor Corporation classic from their badge engineering period which started in the late 1950`s when they called in Pinnin Farina to give their range modern styling. The result was a flowing front finishing with “tail fins” perfect for any wedding. These cars appeared as Austin, Morris, M.G., Wolseley and Riley models and were constructed to share common engines, gearboxes and running gear but with distinctive features to set them apart from one another such as body and interior trim and in some cases performance. This was intended to be an homage to each of the manufacturers who “pre WW2” had all been household names in their own right since the early days of the car.
The Wolseley shown here is considered to be the luxury version with two tone bodywork, leather seats, carpets and wood trim. In fact the sort of car which, at the time, would have been owned by someone doing quite well for themselves.
The larger edition with six cylinder 3 litre engines were a firm favourite of the Police.
